Van Winden’s Garden Center opened its doors for business on February 17, 1953 and it is time to celebrate our 70th Anniversary! Join us February 17th and 18th for some anniversary fun. We will be playing the musical hits of the 1950s, passing out cupcakes and coffee, and having lots of FREE raffle options both days. Many of our favorite groups and vendors will have a presence at this celebration as well.

Felco will have a table on Feb 18th from 11am-2pm. Learn how to choose the right Felco pruners for you or bring your existing tool for a quick lesson on cleaning and sharpening. At 2pm there will be a Felco workshop where you can learn how to disassemble/clean/reassemble and sharpen your tool. Call the store to reserve you spot in the workshop.

MaxSea will have a table set up 11am-3pm on 2/17 and 2/18. Mary will be handing out samples, advising you on how to best use MaxSea fertilizers in your garden, and raffling off “paint can sized” containers of MaxSea.

The Napa Valley Orchid Society will be have a table set up to help you repot your orchid 2/17 11am-3pm and 2/18 10am-2pm. Bring your orchid (that is in an 8inch container or smaller) and get it repotted for free!

E.B Stone will have a tent sent up both days. Tom will be presenting Fertilizers 101 in our Pavilion at 3pm on 2/17 and at 10am on 2/18. E.B Stone will be donating extravagant gift baskets which will be raffled off.

Blooms will have a table set up on 2/17 from 10:30am-3pm and will be answering questions about growing vegetables and perennials. They will have plants to raffle off!

Gary Sampson will have a table both days from 10am-12pm. Gary is our beloved retired manager. He will have a slideshow from Van Winden’s over the years as well as great advice on pruning roses and fruit trees.

Dave Wilson Nursery will have berries and fruit trees to raffle off.

Monrovia will have a table 2/17 9am-12pm and have plants to raffle off.
